The star of this film is Elisa Carrillo Cabrera, prima ballerina at the Berlin State Ballet and the first Latin American woman in this position at a European national ballet.
The documentary that I co-DOPed with Athena Carmazzi, circles around the hard, disciplined training routine that got her there. Focusing on her everyday life between the performances, this film gives unique insights into the hard but rewarding reality of living a childhood dream.
Prima was shown at film festivals and on Mexican national TV.
